The Wangtek PC02 is a QIC-02 host adapter for the ISA Bus. It uses only 8Bit, does not support PnP and must be configured via jumpers.
If you want to use the card in an ISA Slot, see the next section how
to configure the card manually.
If you want to use the card in an EISA Slot, you can use the
following file to configure your system:
!WTK0631.CFG
Wangtek PC02 EISA configuration file
[Tested with ECU V1.10 (C)1989-1990 Micro Computer Systems Inc.]
Copy it to your ECU diskette, start the ECU and add the card to your configuration by specifying it for the desired EISA Slot. Now you can select the ressources and the ECU checks for conflicts. If the configuration is done, select "View jumper settings" and the ECU show you how to set the jumpers and switches on the card. Do this settings and install the card in the selected EISA slot.
Note: All ressources must be dedicated to this board. Ressource sharing is not supported!
The listed values are base addresses. Two sequent I/O locations
starting at the selected address are used.
HDR1: IRQ
There are 6 IRQ jumper positions on HDR1 (IRQ2 to IRQ7). Only one
jumper must be installed to select the IRQ channel.
HDR2: DRQ
There are 3 DRQ jumper positions on HDR2 (DRQ1 to DRQ3). Only one
jumper must be installed to select the DMA channel.
HDR3: DACK
There are 3 DACK jumper positions on HDR3 (DACK1 to DACK3). Only one
jumper must be installed to select the DMA channel.
The selected DACK setting must match the DRQ setting.
W1: DMA Inhibit
When this jumper is installed, DMA operation will be inhibited when
an exception occurs. When not installed, DMA operations will continue
if an exception occurs.
The default is Installed.
W2: Ground Isolation
When this jumper ist installed, the main board logic ground is
connected to the chassis ground. When not installed, the main board
logic ground is isolated from the chassis ground by a 0.1 microfarad
capacitor.
The default for this configuration is installed.
